Hi Anne Marie
A good strting point would be Patrick Whitefield "How to Make a Forest Garden"; for the more advanced, see David Jacke "Edible Forest gardens" (see above); and for info on the plants themselves Ken Fern's "Plants for a Future" is still essential. I believe also Martin Crawford is bringing out a book himself this year.

Has what has been learned been documented and where is it published?

Losing Arthur Hollin's knowledge of his practical work on combining grasses and farm bio diversity at Fordhall Farm is a wake up call. The farm was almost lost when the landowner decided to sell and Arthur has since died. Please don't let your knowledge go the same way, or be hidden away in professional journals inaccessible to the rest of us.

I saw the recent tv programme and was happy to find this site - it is inspiring, but how many people could this permaculture support and how viable is it on a large scale for the foreseeable shortages locally and worldwide. Is there a programme one could follow to implement this system anywhere written
