So grateful for the "transition-thinking" towards the positive in Rob Hopkins work. I've been quite frightened by all the doomsaying by people I respect and fearful their horrific predictions will self-fulfill. Yes, the psychology of change is important. Lorenzo Gonzoles in his book, "Survival," which details real stories about people caught out in life-threatening situations, lists 10 factors he concludes were present in survivors. The first is "Perceive and believe." ie. quickly face reality. This is what the doomsayers have been doing for us. The second factor is "Make a plan." Even the smallest step, successfully accomplished can be an immense moral victory encouraging more success.

Great review Graham, it has reached the front pages of Energy Bulletin and Transition Culture. I hope that leads more people to Zone 5 and your challenging 'Back to Nature' series.
