I think the 'unseen world' is the beautiful emptiness that lies in the soul (if you believe in that), feared by many who are in love with the material world and are scared to lose it. But to those who have been there, know it is a source of wisdom and compassion and can be felt only by sitting quietly, stilling the mind of its incessant clatter and thrum and listening 'for a voice that will say, 'be silent'.</p> <p>Rumi is one of the great spiritual writers and what he writes about is the opposite of materialism.
